World Cancer Day is an international day marked on February 4 to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. The primary goal of World Cancer Day is to significantly reduce illness and death caused by cancer. The theme for World Cancer Day 2024 is “Together, we challenge those in power.” This theme encompasses the global demand for leaders to prioritize and invest in cancer prevention and care to do more to achieve a just and cancer-free world.
Multiple Initiative are run on World Cancer Day to show support for those affected by cancer.
