Mosunmola Abudu

So today I’m celebrating Mosunmola Abudu. A phenomenal woman who is such a huge inspiration to me. TV producer, talk show host, media personality, philanthropist, human resources management, consultant, and entrepreneur /venture capitalist. A very ambitious woman who exemplifies boldness.

Mosunmola Abudu usually known as Mo Abudu was born on the 11th of  September 1964 in London, United Kingdom and later relocated to Nigeria. Mo is the executive producer of moments with Mo which holds the pride of place of being the first ever syndicated daily talk show on African regional television, a TV talk show program, founder of Vic Lawrence & Associates.

Mo is the chairman and chief executive of Ebony Life TV which is Africa first Global Black entertainment and lifestyle Network. In 2014, she started Ebony Life films. Her debut film “Fifty” and her second film  “ The Wedding Party” in partnership with the Ethic film collective both premiered at prestigious International film festivals and broke box office records nationwide.

Mo has received international recognition by Forbes as the first African woman to launch a PAN African TV channel, Also as African most successful woman. Mo has also being recognised by CNN as Africa’s queen of media who conquered the continent. In March 2018, Sony Pictures Television (SPT) announced that they had concluded a three year deal with Ebony Life TV that would include co-production of The Dahomey Warriors, a series about the Amazons who took on French colonialists in a 19th century west African kingdom.

These are few inspiring quotes from Mo Abudu;

  • “There are dream makers for all of us out there. We all have to meet our dream makers and on the other hand there are dream killers, people that can’t wait to kill your dreams but you have to balance the dream makers and the dream killers and see how you can come out of that cycle.”
  • “Your ability to make things happen is what makes you different.”
  • “We can change the narrative about Africa with content.”
  • “Never stop dreaming. It’s one right no one can take away from you.”

She is truly a source of inspiration and a phenomenal woman!
