Celebrating Women

Oluwayeni Anikulapo-Kuti

I’m celebrating Oluwayeni Anikulapo-Kuti today. I admire this amazing woman and she inspires me greatly. Yeni pioneered the idea of Felabration, a music festival conceived to celebrate the life and contributions of her father Fela Kuti to the Nigerian society. Yeni is a co-host of popular breakfast TV show, Your View.

Oluwayeni Anikulapo-Kuti was born on May 22, 1961 in England, United Kingdom. Yeni was born as the first child to afro beat pioneer Fela Kuti and to a British mother. She completed her basic and secondary education in Nigeria after leaving the United Kingdom at the age of two. She holds a diploma in journalism after she graduated from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism. In 1986, she joined Femi’s band as a singer and a dancer. Yeni currently serves as a co-manager of the New Afrika Shrine alongside her brother Femi Kuti.

My name is Adenike Omotosho. I have an unflinching vigour to inspire other women. I do this by celebrating the lives of phenomenal women around the world.
I believe as a woman I am fearfully and wonderfully made by God. I want every woman out there to equally realise they are special and wonderful.
I also believe in sharing knowledge to impact my readers cut across gender. Therefore, men would benefit from the other sections on the blog and they could even get motivated by the profiles of the phenomenal women.
Once again, welcome to Nikkyosblog where you get inspiration to aspire. Please do subscribe and do leave a comment. Thank you!🤗

she grew in an environment that encourages people to become nuisance without you being sorry for it but he chose to be a responsible citizen. She has never been prevented from saying precisely what’s in her mind at anytime or anywhere.
She did let the society create her behaviour but she showed that you can be a perfect person when you choose to do so.
