Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi

I’m celebrating Olubunmi Aboderin-Talabi today. An amazing woman who is a huge inspiration to me. A writer, author, publisher and founder of the Olubunmi Programs & Clever Clogs Books.

Olubunmi started her publishing career working in a family newspaper business, Punch Nigeria Limited. She has served on the board of Punch since 1994 and worked in an executive capacity for 8 years as the Executive Director, Business Development and New Projects. She was also the first Managing Director for the start-up Punch Commercial Printing Limited, a subsidiary of Punch Nigeria Limited. Olubunmi has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from City University London, and is also a graduate of the General Management Program at Harvard Business School as well as the Advanced Management & Leadership Program at Oxford University Said Business School.

Olubunmi is also the current Executive Council Chairperson of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), and is the Chairperson, Board of Trustees, of the OA Foundation. In 2017, her passion for writing developed in to collaborating with talented artists to create beautifully-illustrated children’s picture books designed to make reading attractive, inspire innovation and excite children, parents and teachers. Her published works include: Tobi Visits the Conservatory, Kob the Antelope and Diary of a Toddler. Olubunmi is a member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria; the Corporate Governance Society of Nigeria and the Harvard Business School Alumni Association of Nigeria.

She is truly a source of inspiration and a phenomenal woman!

    My like for her is for the fact that coming from a wealthy family, she decided to work, to learn from experts in are areas of interest and she improved the family business and later moved on to establish herself.
