Oluwaseun Ayodeji Osowobi wins Commonwealth Young Person of the Year 2019. Oluwaseun is the founder of Stand to End Rape Initiative (STER), a youth led NGO advancing human rights, and campaigning for an end to Gender Based Violence through advocacy & support. Oluwaseun is a graduate of Development Studies from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations with specialization in Gender Studies from Swansea University, United Kingdom.
Oluwaseun is responsible for conducting advocacy and project implementation and ensuring survivors of gender-based violence receive medical, legal, and psycho-social services. Through her work, she is proud to have been selected as one of 200 Obama Young Leaders: Africa. As an advocate, she is proud to have broken the culture of silence on rape in Nigeria and establishing an NGO to provide support to victims.

A great motivation for lots of younger girls, they should learn that it never too early to stand for something. just start and continue doing that little positive things you’re doing and be rest assured that someone somewhere is watching you and appreciating your efforts.
