I celebrate a phenomenal woman today. An amazing woman who is a huge inspiration to me. A woman who has inspired so many. Sahle-Work Zewde is the president of Ethiopia and the first woman to hold the office.

Born in Addis Ababa, on the 21st of February 1950, Sahle-Work attended elementary and secondary school at Lycee Guebre-Mariam in Addis Ababa, after which she studied natural science at the University of Montpellier, France. A career diplomat and a veteran of the United Nations, she was elected president unanimously by members of the Federal Parliamentary Assembly on 25 October 2018.

Sahle-Work Zewde is the only serving female head of state in Africa. In her first address to parliament, Sahle-Work Zewde promised to be a voice for women and stressed the importance of unity.
She is truly a source of inspiration and a phenomenal woman!

It’s a great show of credibility, people know those whom are achieving goals through struggle in their careers and kept clean working records.
Young girls and women should understudy her and emulate her achievement.
