I celebrate an amazing woman today. A woman who has inspired so many. Lara George is a gospel singer, songwriter and producer.
Lara George attended Queen’s College, Lagos before proceeding to the University of Lagos, where she obtained a Masters’ degree in Architecture. Lara began her music career at the University of Lagos, where she joined the campus fellowship choir. She was a member of the musical group Kush. Her debut album, titled “Forever in My Heart” included the hit single “Ijoba Orun” which was released in 2008. The album earned her several awards and nominations.
In 2008, she won Voice of the Year at the Nigeria Music Awards. She emerged the winner of the Best African Female Gospel Artiste category at the 2011 African Gospel Music Awards. I celebrate this beautiful multiple award-winning gospel artiste whose work continues to touch lives worldwide.
